I am unable to watch more videos, by touching the play is only in loading.1 vote
Please Open a support ticket and include the browser you’re using (with platform/version) and the specific videos that you’re having trouble with.
The playback speed can be accelerated to save time, when the narration is easy. Also would be great if there was an option to somehow download screencasts to an iOS device (perhaps via iTunesU or just iTunes?).
I understand that enabling downloading in an .m4v format - would allow for easy sharing of the screencasts via some torrent tracker, however that way it would be much easier to watch.1 vote
You can already download these using a private RSS feed (found on your My Account page). Use this link to subscribe in iTunes and you can download the videos for offline use (and iTunes can speed it up as well)
It's nice to have an RSS feed for free videos, but those of us with subscriptions could use a handy notification for when private subscription-only vide0s are posted too.1 vote
There is already a private RSS feed. You can find it on your My Account page.
Trying to set up my private RSS feed in IFTTT, and it's complaining that there isn't a valid title for the feed.1 vote
If you look at your My Account page you’ll see an RSS feed link that has much more metadata (like graphics for each episode).
I'd love to see a screencast on the recent API changes in iOS 7 and the upgrade path for existing apps.49 votes
This is an ongoing topic, the latest 5 episodes are all about iOS 7.
You should do a screencast about Grand Central Dispatch since it was introduced into iOS/OSX in August 2010. It's definitely a lot powerful and useful and a bit hard to understand so It would be amazing you get to us a screencast about that.114 votes
I think this is sufficiently covered, as I’ve used it in a bunch of screencasts. If there’s anything more advanced you’d like to see covered, let me know.
This is one of the topic which aren't covered well at all. It would be very useful a screencast about OAuth authentication using AFNetworking, for example against Twitter (OAuth v1.0a) and Instagram/Facebook (OAuth v2.0). Maybe you can use AFOAuth1Client and AFOAuth2Client but they haven't got so much documentation. Thank you so much for your help and availability.17 votes
Episode 74 covers OAuth2. I did not use AFOAuth2Client, as it seemed unnecessary for the specific example app.
New restkit has changed a lot, please talk about it3 votes
I just released an episode on RestKit mapping covering the latest version.
Handling common real-world situations
- Reachability with change notificaition
- Reconnecting a failed session
- Canceling outstanding requests
- Changing the time-out value
- Keep alive
- Plus fellow NSScreencaster's requests227 votes
I think this is sufficiently covered. If you’d like to see something specific, please let me know.
You should do a screencast about remote json data into nsarray's of dictionaries for table view controllers

This is mostly covered already with a few episodes, including the latest one on RestKit mapping
Starting from iOS 5, UIKit provides UIViewController Containment. Since there are few tutorials on the subject, I would like to see such a tutorial.33 votes
I'd like to see a screencast on how to customize map with custom annotations.68 votes

There are a lot of tutorials available on AFNetworking, however I haven't been able to find one that shows how to authenticate users. I think that such an important element of an app would have more attention but it seems that is not the case. So I would def pay for a tutorial on best practices for how to do this with a Rails backend if possible please ;)43 votes
Episode 41 is now out! Authentication with AFNetworking: http://nsscreencast.com/episodes/41-authentication-with-afnetworking
I'd love to see a tutorial using UISearchBarController, storyboards and Core Data together. The previous NSScreencast Core Data tutorials have been superb and outlining the basics of Core Data. When using large data sets, such as the Beers webservice, it might be nice to know how to quickly and instantly filter results based on a user defined search string.
Most of the tutorials available for UISearchBarController surround iOS usage, and so don't really fit in with Storyboards.3 votes
video covering this theme and basics about multithread11 votes
Should be covered by episode 10
I'd like to see some animation stuff.
- UIViews popping up after clicking some button
- Overlays (like SVProgressHUD)
- Custom Transitions (Storyboard Segues)
and so on223 votes
I think this is sufficiently covered. Episode 86 & 88 covered custom transitions.
- Don't see your idea?
